The tool measures characteristics such as average pitch, observed pitch range, pitch stability, pitch variation, dynamic variation, and overall pitch position, then turns those measurements into an easy-to-read voice profile.
Unlike a simple pitch checker that only displays the note you are producing at a particular moment, this analysis looks at multiple measurements across a short sample. It can help you understand where your voice tends to sit, how much your pitch moves, and how steady your vocal production is.

How to Use AI Voice Analysis
Using the analyzer only takes a short voice sample.
- Click Start Voice Analysis.
- Allow microphone access when your browser asks for permission.
- Speak or sing naturally for the analysis period.
- Keep a comfortable distance from your microphone and avoid loud background noise.
- You can select Finish & Analyze early, or allow the analysis to finish automatically.
- Review your voice profile and individual measurements.
- Use Copy Results if you want to save the text, or Analyze Again to test another sample.
For a useful comparison, try analyzing yourself while speaking normally and then again while singing a comfortable phrase. Speaking and singing can occupy noticeably different pitch areas.

What Does the Voice Analysis Measure?
The results are based on acoustic information detected from the sample captured by your microphone. They should be interpreted as measurements of that particular recording, rather than a complete judgment of your voice.
Average Pitch
Average pitch shows the central pitch detected across your usable sample. The result is displayed in Hertz (Hz) together with an approximate musical note.
A higher frequency corresponds to a higher perceived pitch, while a lower frequency corresponds to a lower pitch.

Observed Pitch Range
The observed range shows the approximate lowest and highest stable pitches detected during your recording.
The analyzer also expresses the distance between them in semitones and octaves.
This is not necessarily your complete vocal range. If you sing only a few notes during the test, the result will naturally cover only those notes. A dedicated Vocal Range Finder is more appropriate when your goal is specifically to discover your lowest and highest singable notes.
Understanding Pitch Stability
Pitch stability describes how consistently your detected pitches remain around the central tendency of the sample.
A steadier result may occur when you sustain a relatively stable note or speak with limited pitch movement. A more variable result can appear when you sing a melody, use expressive speech, slide between notes, or intentionally add pitch movement.
That means a higher stability percentage does not automatically mean a better voice.
For example, a sustained vocal exercise should normally produce a more stable pattern than an expressive sung phrase. The context matters.

Pitch Variation and Dynamic Variation
Pitch variation describes how widely the pitch moves through the central portion of your recording.
A spoken sentence often contains natural rises and falls in pitch. A melody may cover an even wider interval. A sustained note generally produces less pitch variation.
Dynamic variation looks at changes in the relative audio level of your sample. It can indicate whether the captured voice remained relatively even or changed substantially in level.
However, microphone distance, microphone sensitivity, room acoustics, and device processing can all influence audio levels. Dynamic variation should therefore be treated as contextual information rather than a measurement of absolute vocal loudness.
What Does Pitch Position Mean?
The analyzer classifies the average detected frequency into a broad observed pitch zone, such as lower, lower-mid, mid, or higher.
This gives you a quick description of where the analyzed sample was centered.
It does not automatically determine your classical voice type.
Voice classification involves more than one pitch measurement. Singers may also consider comfortable range, tessitura, register transitions, vocal weight, tone, and how the voice behaves across different notes.

Pitch, Vocal Range, and Voice Tone Are Different
These terms are closely related but they do not describe exactly the same thing.
Pitch describes how high or low a sound is perceived and is closely related to its fundamental frequency.
Vocal range describes the span between the lowest and highest notes a person can produce under a particular testing method.
Tone or timbre describes the qualities that help two voices sound different even when they produce the same pitch.
Your pitch analysis can provide useful numerical information, but it cannot completely describe the character of your voice from frequency measurements alone.

How to Get a Better Voice Analysis
A clean recording generally gives the analyzer more usable information.
Try to:
- use the tool in a quiet room;
- stay at a consistent distance from your microphone;
- avoid touching or moving the microphone during analysis;
- use a clear, comfortable voice;
- avoid forcing unusually high or low notes;
- keep background music, fans, and other voices quiet;
- repeat the test if the detected result seems inconsistent.
You also do not need to push your voice to its limits for this analysis. Vocal range testing and general voice analysis serve different purposes.

Accuracy and Limitations
Browser-based voice analysis has practical limitations.
Results can be affected by microphone quality, background noise, room reflections, signal level, breathiness, vocal fry, harmonics, unstable notes, and device audio processing. Pitch-tracking systems can occasionally interpret a harmonic as the fundamental frequency, producing a note that appears unusually high or low.
A short sample also cannot establish your complete singing range, professional vocal classification, health of your vocal folds, singing ability, or overall voice quality.
For the most useful comparison, repeat the test under similar conditions and look for patterns rather than relying on a single measurement.
Privacy and Microphone Processing
The analyzer processes microphone input inside your browser for the voice-analysis session. The plugin does not need to upload a recording to a remote server to calculate the displayed results.
Microphone permission is requested only after you start the analysis, and the microphone stream is stopped when the analysis finishes or you reset the tool.
Your browser may still apply its own privacy and permission settings, so you remain in control of whether the page can access your microphone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can AI Voice Analysis tell me what type of voice I have?
It can show measurements that are relevant to understanding your voice, including average pitch and observed range, but a short sample alone cannot definitively determine a classical singing voice type.
Does a high pitch-stability score mean I am a better singer?
No. Stability depends strongly on what you perform. A sustained note should normally be steadier than a melody or expressive spoken sentence.
Is observed pitch range the same as my full vocal range?
No. It only represents the pitches detected in the analyzed sample. Your full vocal range may extend significantly lower or higher.
Why does my result change when I repeat the test?
Different phrases, notes, microphone positions, room noise, vocal registers, and performance choices can change the measured sample.
Should I speak or sing during the analysis?
Either can be useful. Speak naturally if you want to examine your typical speaking pitch behavior. Sing a comfortable phrase if you want to examine pitch movement during singing.
Can this tool diagnose a vocal problem?
No. The analysis is designed for educational and exploratory voice measurements, not medical diagnosis. Persistent pain, loss of voice, or other vocal-health concerns should be evaluated by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
