How to reach us: Email us. For questions about a tool, a result or the site, write to support@vocaltoollab.com. For everything else, including partnerships, use contact@vocaltoollab.com. Privacy requests and corrections can also go to info@vocalrangetest.com, the address in our policies.
Messages are read by Erika Parker, who runs the site. There is no phone line or live chat; we answer by email. Please include the page address and enough detail for us to understand the question.
What You Can Contact Us About
- A tool that doesn’t work or gives a result that looks wrong
- A factual error or an outdated statement on any page (see how we handle corrections in our editorial guidelines)
- A singer’s vocal range you believe is wrong, ideally with the song and time stamp of the note (singer pages are listed under famous singers’ vocal ranges)
- Privacy questions and requests to access or delete information you sent us (see our privacy policy)
- Accessibility problems (see our accessibility statement)
- Permission to reuse content, partnerships and business enquiries
- General feedback and ideas for new tools
Reporting a Tool Problem
A good report lets us reproduce the problem. Please include:
- The tool’s address, for example the vocal range test or the voice type test
- Your device and browser, with versions if you know them (for example “iPhone 14, Safari”)
- What you did, what you expected and what happened instead
- Any error message, and a screenshot if you can
Before you write, two quick checks solve most microphone problems: allow microphone access for this site in your browser’s settings, and close other apps that may be using the microphone. Safari, Firefox and physical Android phones are the setups our tests could not cover, so reports from them are especially helpful. How the tools were tested is on the methodology page, and common questions are answered in the FAQ.
Before You Send Audio or Personal Details
You never need to send a recording of your voice. If a result looks wrong, the notes or Hz values the tool showed are enough. Please don’t send sensitive personal or health information by email. Our tools don’t record or upload your voice; the data security page explains what stays on your device.
What Happens After You Write
For a reported error, we check the statement against its source or reproduce the tool problem with the details you sent. If something is wrong, the page or tool is fixed and, for a tool, retested, and we reply to tell you what changed.
